Herrera Llerandi has 5 world class operating rooms equipped with
the best of medical technology and informatics. Always thinking
about the patients’ safety, the hospital has recently
refurbished its operating rooms, taking consideration in this
project, elements as important as the following:
Anesthesia modern machinery, electro cauteries, automatic
negatoscopes, flat LCD monitors for laparoscopy procedures,
first rate surgical lamps, air conditioning with nano plasma
filters, ambient music, cordless electronic emergency buzzers,
internal surfaces coated with washable epoxy material, special
electronic windows, electric installations and dedicated earth
ground lines, etc.
The Surgery Ward has also access to the website, where the rooms
assignment can be checked, making it easier to make reservations.
It also has an automatic display of all surgeries being
performed on a giant plasma screen, new surgical lamps, digital
telephone access (controlled through biometric sensors) to
dictate surgical records, ability for video broadcast, a
drugstore for medicines and materials strategically located at a
middle point which greatly facilitates the supply to the
operating rooms, a specially designed and comfortable rest area
and changing room for doctors, a specially conditioned
sterilization area and materials preparation, an observation
deck inside the operating rooms.
Similarly to infrastructure in the facilities, the
paramedic-staff get an updated training in instruments handling
as well as how to reach excellence in service, etc.
