To
satisfactorily reach its objective, the clinical
laboratory has automated work methodologies,
minimizing processing and results delivery time
in all sections. Furthermore, these
methodologies
permit to provide more accurate and exact
results.

Microbiology |
 The
use of high specificity and sensibility automated
methodology minimizes process time and accordingly,
results delivery time. It has equipment like the
Micro-Scan which allows clinically interesting micro
organisms identification and susceptibility tests in a
fast, reliable, simple and standardized way, producing
an exact bacterial identification and a wider range in
antibiotics selection. The equipment "Bact-Alert"
detects the pathological blood cultures 7 or 8 hours
after incubation, instead of waiting 7 or 14 days as it
is done in other conventional laboratories,
substantially reducing the process time.

Chemistry and Toxicology |
 Among
others, It has VITROS technology, TDX (drug
determination) and a DIMENSION device that due to its
high process ability (500 tests an hour), allows to
diagnose with an excellent degree of accuracy and speed.

Immunology |
 It
has equipment to process great volume of samples, like
the AxSym which process 300 tests an hour, which allows
more competitive prices. Besides, there are devices like
IMX (Infectious Markers) and TOSOH (hormones and others)
. We quantify by turbidimetry the following: rheumatoid
factor, Reactive C Protein, immunoglobulins, etc., which
enables us to deliver more exact and faster results.

Blood
Bank |
 It also
has a high technology which allows preparing the
different blood components to be used in hospitalized
patients and outpatients. The determination of irregular
antibodies can be determined in donor and receiver.
It is worth mentioning that available blood has been
subject to rigorous quality control, internal and
external in order to provide the highest degree of
reliability. The Blood Bank works with a methodology in
GEL, among others, and which has a high sensibility and
specificity that support work on newborn babies and
adult blood types, compatibilities and irregular
antibodies tracking. Technicians are certified by the
Ministry of Public Health as Blood Bank Technicians,
under the direction of a Chemist-Biologist specialized
in Immunohematology and blood banks.

Hematology and Urocoprology |
 Equipment
that allows reporting up to 28 parameters in a complete
hematology instead of five that are reported
conventionally. The different factors and times that
regulate coagulation can be worked upon.
